Digits AGL provides a layered approach to AI-native categorization, allowing API developers to invoke sophisticated ledger automation with minimal effort.

API developers provide any available information about the intended bookkeeping of a transaction, and the AGL will research the context of the transaction to apply the right category. The category context can be as specific or general as needed - for example, Digits routinely gets great results with simple Uncategorized Expense AI Category Labels and raw transaction descriptions.

User-edited categorizations tune company- and firm-specific predictions, allowing AI categorization to follow the bookkeeping conventions specific to each company. Low confidence predictions (if any) are surfaced by the AGL, enabling human oversight and 100% correctness.
